About Me

Before retraining to become a psychotherapist, I worked for many years as a translator and hold a Master’s degree in English. That background still deeply shapes the way I work today. I have a strong interest in how language influences the way we understand ourselves, our relationships and the world around us – the stories we tell ourselves and others, the words we choose and the meanings we attach to our experiences.

I’m particularly interested in the power of storytelling: how we make sense of our lives through the narratives we carry about who we are, where we come from, and what is possible for us. In therapy, I see part of the work as creating space to explore these stories together – noticing which ones support us, which ones limit us and whether new stories might be waiting to emerge.

I support people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and confidence issues, as well as people who feel stuck or disconnected from themselves or their lives. I also have a particular interest in working with people in transition – those in liminal spaces, on the threshold between what has been and what is yet to come. These moments of change can feel confusing, unsettling and lonely, but they can also hold the potential for growth, insight and new ways of being.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in Transactional Analysis and informed by relational, psychodynamic and humanistic perspectives. In practice, this means that I see therapy as a collaborative process and the relationship between us as central to the work. I aim to offer a space where you can feel met with curiosity, empathy and without judgment – a space where you can explore what’s going on for you at your own pace, in your own way.

Being an expat myself (born and raised in Denmark), I know what it’s like to feel out of place, between cultures, or between versions of yourself. This experience, combined with my linguistic background, has given me a particular sensitivity to issues of identity, belonging and self-expression. I’m especially drawn to working with people who feel they don’t quite fit, who are searching for meaning or who are trying to make sense of who they are becoming.

At the heart of my work is a belief that change happens through being seen, heard and understood. My role is not to fix you or solve your problems, but to walk alongside you – to help you reflect, notice patterns and gently create space for new perspectives and possibilities.
